Empowering Local Community by Imparting Training.
MGC-RST Mining Limitada
has already employed a 300 skilled work force and our main focus is on employment of
maximum local manpower. To achieve this objective, we are in the process of opening a
training school with qualified training instructors who will provide training in various
trades free of charge and issue a competency certificate on completion of course. This
facility is grooming locals not just in matters of automobiles but also soft skills such as
English and basic knowledge of computers, etc. With cut model rooms, system charts and
a computer lab, it is set to transform natives of surrounding areas around the mine into
proficient drivers, mechanics with added knowledge of Basic English and Computers.
The basic objectives of imparting training to the local populace are:-
To create job opportunities in local vicinity.
To develop right attitudes towards driving responsibilities, instil understanding of
Traffic Regulations and create good driving habits. A properly trained generation
of new Drivers would bring down the rate of accidents considerably in future.
Sound theoretical and practical training imparted to mechanics and electricians
will help keep high percentage of the fleet road worthy and reduce mean time.

Live Working Models
Live working models of all systems of Tippers have been
fabricated and are available. Main emphasis during training of locals is to use live
working models for imparting practical training to candidates selected on the basis of
screening test.
Cut Models Display
To explain the internal working of varios systems and sub-systems.
LED Displays
These are also used to explain the working of various sub-systems with
help of LED lights coming on in sequence to depict the working of the particular systems.
Test Ground
A proper Test Ground has been created for practical training in the near
vicinity where candidates after being put through theoretical and live model based
training are taken and imparted practical driving training.
Soft Skill Training:
Limited training is imparted to the candidates in soft skills to
include operation of computer, health & Hygiene and English speaking
Audio/Video presentation
These are used for theoretical training before moving on to
cut-models and LED Displays.
Driving track
A driving track has been created in the vicinity depicting actual driving
conditions to impart practical training to the drivers. Nuances such as correct engagement
of clutch and gear and necessity of gear reduction to negotiate gradients are practically
explained, demonstrated and practice imparted to the candidates.
Environment Protection
Adoption of following measures to ensure protection of environment:-
Deployment of earth moving equipment strictly adhering to pollution norms.
Conserving the top soil.
Recycling of mechanical waste.
Creating evaporation dams for contaminated water if any.
Planting trees to have green environment.
Minimizing use of paper.
Safety and Health
Safety is given the maximum importance during operation. There is an
endeavour to create safety awareness in every single member at the project site. Towards this
end, following measures have been adopted to ensure highest degree of safety:-
Compulsory wearing of Personal Protective Clothing & Equipment by all personnel.
Regular tool box talks by Safety Officer.
Strict implementation of adherence to norms stipulated in the Company’s Safety Book.
Personal monitoring of safety norms by Team Leaders.
Regular talks on health and safety by Team Leaders and professional guests.
